Summer Newsletter 2025

Working Together To Help You Be The Heart of Your Community

Welcome to the Summer 2025 edition of our newsletter, the home for latest developments, tips and industry news for our wonderful floristry community.

We believe that florists are a vital part of society. After all, floristry is present at every important event in our lives; every celebration and occasion, or just to say ‘I love you’. So we want to provide you with a powerful platform and exclusive community forum that will support you as you continue to grow your business.

LATEST NEWS & DEVELOPMENTS

First, a message from Tim, about Florist Window:

“I’ve been thinking a lot about what happens when pride in your product slips. It may not be intentional, but clients can sense it. When I returned to full focus on the business, my energy went straight into what I’d call restoration work, bringing services and websites back up to the standard we feel our clients deserve. Now, five months on from the new management changes, I can feel the shift. We’re not just restoring – we’re improving, updating, building again. That original pride in our product, and the clients we serve, is back in full force.

The rest of this year will be about real forward movement – visible changes, useful innovations and a renewed commitment to every florist who has trusted us with their online presence.

Thank you to everyone who’s stood by us and believed in what we do. If you’ve ever felt we’ve lost sight of what makes us special, I hope what’s ahead will reassure you that we haven’t.

In fact, we’re just getting started.”

Development

Favicons: Clients will start to see Google update with their own personal favicon (small things that speak BIG in terms of individuality).

SEO Updates: Additionally, clients will notice SEO evolving as new strategies are introduced to help each Florist Window client stand out individually in that online crowd.

Approaching Occasions

Flowers of the Month for Summer Are – The Larkspur, The Poppy and of course, The Rose.

Larkspurs, more commonly known as Delphiniums, represent positivity, and can be a fabulous tall centerpiece for a floral bouquet! And who doesn’t love a rose? Not only are they one of the oldest flowers known on the planet, the rose is also the national flower of the U.S.A. It’s also universally recognized as the symbol of love and beauty. Not bad for one little bloom!

Gardening Shows In July: There’s still time to book your tickets for the RHS’s Hampton Court festival (1st – 6th July) or their new event staged at Wentworth Woodhouse stately home in South Yorkshire (16th – 20th July).

Celebrating Colour: This Year’s Wedding Bouquet Trend: As you probably know, the trend for wedding flowers this year is colour and clashes! So get creative and enjoy helping those happy couples celebrate this summer with bold and bright blooms.

Save the Date! FleurEx 2025

This year’s FleurEx fair, organised by the British Florists Association especially for people like you, is to be held at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham on October 4th and 5th 2025. Top Tip: Changing the Seasonal & Occasional Promotion

If your website’s seasonal or occasional updates throughout the year are automatically managed by Florist Window but you now feel ready to take control and update them yourself*, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your admin system.
  2. Click on Contents in the main menu.
  3. Click on Click here to change seasonal promotion. (The green ? next to the link plays a training video about this feature.)
  4. Select the appropriate season or occasion from the list.
  5. Click on Update to save the changes.

You should now see the corresponding Seasonal or Occasion Flowers link in your main menu (and side menu, if applicable).

*If you run into any problems or things don’t look quite right, just email or call support!

When viewing the seasons and occasions options: if you select None and click Update, this will display your All Year Round flowers range. Products shown in this range can be found under Products / Required by System / Window. This means if you edit a product and assign it to the sub-category Window, it will appear in your All Year Round Range.

If you feel comfortable managing your own seasonal and occasional content, please let support know so we can add you to our excluded list. Our automated updates really are just that, no fuss for us to update 5 or 5,000 client sites instantly.
