Secure online payments connected directly to the florist, with guidance on the right gateway and support setting everything up.
How online payments work on florist websites and how to choose the right gateway.
What is a payment gateway and why do I need one?
A payment gateway allows your website to take online card payments securely. In a flower shop you might use a counter terminal, mobile card reader or PDQ machine. A payment gateway performs the same role online by checking card details and passing funds directly into your bank account.
Florist Window does not process payments or hold customer funds. Each florist connects their own payment gateway so customers pay the florist directly.
We guide you through choosing, setting up and connecting the right gateway for your business. For many florists, we recommend Stripe due to its reliability, international support, mobile-friendly checkout and support for Apple Pay and Google Pay.
For florist websites in South Africa, we can also support Yoco, giving florists a strong local payment option with online card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay and payment links.
Optional buy now, pay later methods such as Klarna, Clearpay and Afterpay can also be added where suitable, depending on country, account eligibility and the florist’s order profile.
Payment gateways integrate directly with the Florist Window platform, including order management, delivery scheduling and subscriptions. View platform features.
Stripe handles online card payments alongside Apple Pay and Google Pay. These options help create a faster checkout experience, especially on mobile devices.
Stripe also enables florists to offer recurring payments, making it ideal for services such as flower subscriptions.

Florist Window websites can also accept payments via PayPal. We usually recommend PayPal as an additional option alongside card payments rather than as the sole payment method.
Typical PayPal costs in the UK are: No setup fee No monthly fee 3.4% + 20p per transaction
